Judge the equivalent resistance when the following are connected in parallel – (a) 1 $$\Omega$$ and 106$$\Omega$$, (b) 1$$\Omega$$ and 103$$\Omega$$, and 106$$\Omega$$.

When the resistances are connected in parallel, the equivalent resistance is smaller than the smallest individual resistance.so here we have the smallest resistance as 1 $$\Omega$$ so,
(i) Equivalent resistance < 1$$\Omega$$.
(ii) Equivalent resistance < 1$$\Omega$$.
