6.During a sale, a shop offered a discount of 10% on the marked prices of all the items. What would a customer have to pay for a pair of Jeans marked at ₹ 1450 and two shirts marked at ₹ 850 each?

Answer :

Marked Price(MP) of Jeans = ₹ 1,450
Marked Price of two shirts = ₹ 850 \(\times\) 2 = ₹ 1,700

Total Marked Price = ₹ 1,450 + ? 1,700 = ₹ 3,150

Given that we have discount = 10%

So, we know \(SP =MP \times (1-\frac{discount}{100})\)

\(\qquad =3,150 \times (1-\frac{10}{100})\)

\(\qquad =3,150 \times (\frac{90}{100})=₹ 2,835\)

Thus, the customer will have to pay ₹ 2,835.
