5.Find the height of the cylinder whose volume is 1.54 \(m^3\\) and diameter of the base is 140 cm?
Answer :

Given, V = 1.54 \(m^3\), d = 140 cm = 1.40 m[∵1m=100cm]
We have,Volume of the cylinder = \(\pi r^2h\)

\(\Rightarrow 1.54=\frac{22}7\times{1.4}2\times\frac{1.4}2\times h\quad\)[(∵\(r=\frac{d}2=\frac{1.4}2\)]

\(\Rightarrow h=\frac{1.5\times2\times2\times7}{1.4\times22\times1.4}=1m\)

Hence, the height of the cylinder =1m.
