(b) a = (-10), b = 1, c = 1


Answer :

a ÷ (b + c) \(\neq \)(a ÷ b) + (a ÷ c)
(a) If a = 12, b = – 4, c = 2
Then L.H.S.= 12÷{(-4)+2} = 12÷ (-2)= -6
R.H.S.= {12÷(-4)}+(12÷2) = (-3)+ 6 = 3

(b) If a = (-10), b = 1, c = 1
Then L.H.S.= (-10)÷(1+1)= -10÷ 2 = -5
