# Q.1 List five rational numbers between: (i) -1 and 0 (ii) -2 and -1 (iii)$$\frac{-4}{5}$$ and $$\frac{-2}{3}$$ (iv) $$\frac{1}{2}$$ and $$\frac{2}{3}$$

(i) The five rational numbers between -1 and 0 are,
-1< $$\frac{-1}{2}$$ < $$\frac{-3}{4}$$ < $$\frac{-4}{5}$$ < $$\frac{-1}{3}$$ < $$\frac{-1}{5}$$ < 0< br> (ii) The five rational numbers between -2 and -1 are,
-2 < $$\frac{-9}{8}$$ , $$\frac{-9}{7}$$ , $$\frac{-9}{6}$$ , $$\frac{-8}{5}$$ , $$\frac{-4}{3}$$ < -1
(iii) The five rational numbers between -4/5 and -2/3 are,
-4/5= $$\frac{-4×6}{5×6}$$ = $$\frac{-24}{30}$$
-2/3 = $$\frac{-2×10}{3×10}$$ = $$\frac{-20}{30}$$
-4/5 < (-21/30) , (-22/30) , (-23/30) , (-16/15) , (-17/16) <-2/3
(iv) The five rational numbers between -1/2 and 2/3 are,
-1/2 < (-1/6) < (0) < (1/3) < (1/2) < (20/36) < 2/3
