Q.5 From a circular sheet of radius 4 cm, a circle of radius 3 cm is removed. Find the area of the remaining sheet. (Take \(\pi \)= 3.14)

Answer :

Given: Radius of the circular sheet = 4 cm
Radius of the circle to be removed = 3 cm
Area of the remaining sheet = area of ring = \( \pi (R^2-r^2)\)
\( = 3.14 (4^2-3^2) = 3.14 × (16-9) = 3.14× 7 = 21.98 cm^2 \)
Hence, the required area = 21.98 \(cm^2.\)
