$$(i) z^2 – 3(z – 10)$$
$$= z^2 – 3z + 30$$
Putting z = 10, we get
$$= (10)^3 – 3(10) + 30$$
= 1000 – 30 + 30 = 100
$$(ii) p^2 – 2p – 100$$
Putting p = -10, we get
$$(-10)^2 – 2(-10) – 100$$
= 100 + 20 – 100 = 20
