# Convert the following temperature to Celsius scale. (a) 293K (b) 470K

In this question, we have to convert the given temperatures from Kelvin to Celsius scale .

As we know that
Temperature in kelvin = 273 + Temperature in Celsius

$$\implies \text{Temperature in Celsius}$$ = $$\text{Temperature in Kelvin} - 273$$

Now we will apply the above formula in

(a) $$293K= (293 – 273)°C = 20°C$$

(b) $$470K= (470 – 273)°C = 197°C$$
