Convert the following temperature to Celsius scale.
(a) 293K (b) 470K

Answer :

In this question, we have to convert the given temperatures from Kelvin to Celsius scale .

As we know that
Temperature in kelvin = 273 + Temperature in Celsius

\( \implies \text{Temperature in Celsius} \) = \( \text{Temperature in Kelvin} - 273 \)

Now we will apply the above formula in

(a) \( 293K= (293 – 273)°C = 20°C \)

(b) \( 470K= (470 – 273)°C = 197°C \)
