The class 4000-5000 has the maximum frequency ,
therefore, this is the modal class.

Here l = 4000,
h = 1000,
f1 = 18,
f0 = 4 and
f2 = 9

Mode \(= l \ + \ ( \frac{f_1 \ - \ f_0}{2f_1 \ - \ f_0 \ - \ f_2}) \ × \ h \)
