Given, area of trapezium is \(34cm^2\).

Let the required side be x cm.

We know that, area of trapezium=\(\frac{1}2\times (sum\; of \;parallel \;sides)\times (distances \;between\; them)\)

\(34=\frac{1}2\times(10+x)\times 4\)

\(34=2(10+x)\)

\(10+x=17\)

\(x=7\)

Hence, the required side is 7cm.
